Strathaven Park has been awarded Green Flag status in each of the last six years, and in 2018 it was voted Scotland’s best park for the third year in a row as part of the People’s Choice Awards.

Strathaven Airfield sits on the edge of the town. It has a grass runway and is used for microlights and small aircraft. There are also hovercraft sessions available.
Strathaven War Memorial
Situated above the town on Kirkhill, the war memorial provides an excellent vantage point over the town and the surrounding countryside.
A Castle has existed on this site since the 1400s
A volcanic plug around 7 miles west of Strathaven on the A71, well worth a visit. It also features the Scotland’s Spirit sculpture and has impressive views from the summit.
